Our History
St. George's Stables founded in 1959 by Joe Selinger, Frank Selinger's father, was the first english riding stable in Alberta. The Selinger Family were true pioneers of the horse industry in Western Canada. Joe Selinger imported the first warmbloods to Canada and planted the roots of the industry in Alberta. St. George's Stables has played an enormous role in the horse scene in Western Canada. Many had their start to riding here with Joe Selinger in the early years and Frank Selinger continues to mentor and bring riders up to the Grand Prix level today.
